Christmas at MiMi's...

MiMi really just wanted to see this one...

But...she had to go to bed.

So she had to settle with just us girls. :) She didn't come to the beach with us this Christmas, she went with my aunt to Charlotte, so we celebrated before we left. She is one special lady! So thankful for her!!

Sisters & chili

Saturday two of my favorite sisters came over to see me and Saylor. ( I did bribe them with turkey chili and cornbread) :) Our family has been friends with this family since our childhood. We enjoyed a great lunch, I will have to post the recipe because it was delicious!!!! Then Caitlyn had to go to an audition so I volunteered to babysit Lauren for her! :) Lauren lives in La Jollla, CA. She is in GRAD school out there and is very well known in the theatre industry! So I only get to see her maybe twice a year. I was beyond excited to catch up with her. We had a grand ole time and talked the entire day.
Meet Caitlyn & Lauren...

Just enjoying some chips and salsa when Caitlyn got back. (caitlyn is actually Stacie's room mate and I am soooo glad, so I am graced with her presence quite frequently!) It's just a dynamic duo when all the sisters are together at once! Now I will get a double dose and see them again at Christmas! Their parents have a beach house at the same place that our parents do! I'm seeing a Juengel vs. Snipes football game on the beach coming up!!!

Home sweet home!

We are home!!! Praise the Lord! Saylor missed her room and I missed her schedule! She was a little champ tho and did soooo great! I think the time difference and altitude change got her a little off. She slept until 10:30 today because leeeetle baby was so tired! :)

It was an amazing Christmas trip that mom and dad took us on! Our family likes to do trips instead of gifts because so many memories are made. We always have the BEST time together...lots of fun...lots of laughs and LOTS of quality time! Looking forward to doing this with many generations to come!

Breck day 4

Today was amaaaaaazing! Mom and I got massages at the spa. The treatment room had a fireplace by the massage table...ultra relaxation! It was so nice to be rubbed for an hour and to just be able to lay there soak it up and pray! I actually was brought to tears during my prayer time there! My Jesus is so sweet! I serve an amazing God!

After that we just relaxed until dinner in town...we found our favorite restaurant in Breck, it's called Motherloaded. Country yumminess, comfort food!

Thank you Lord for my special time with you today! I feel honored!

Breck day 3

Our weather hit 40 degrees today which was a nice change from 20 degrees with 40mph gusts of wind...I'm talkin fa-reeeezing! However, I can not belieeeeve that it is now colder in Raleigh than Breck!!!

We played with saylor this am and ate some yummy CrAzY eggs (thanks for the recipe katum!)...

Mom and I then went to the village to shop while everyone else skied a bit more...

We stopped for lunch at MiMi's fries pies, and got a chicken, spinach, and broccoli fried pie and ordered some apple ones to take home to the boys....

It was amazing and so different! Enough grease to last me a while tho!

We also enjoyed some iced coffee...well mom did, I couldn't drink it because it had chocolate in it and that does not agree yet with Saylor...

Then we found the most precious ski toboggan at the cutest children's store...it was called magical scraps...the store was magical!

Back to the house for dinner, charrades, and fried pie!

Dad acting out something...

Syd doing a fantastically hilarious job acting out a movie...

Now for fried pie...it's daggon good!

It was a fabulous day! Enjoyed every moment!

Day 2 from Breck...

We are still having a blast! LOTS of hilarious stories...one being me completely oblivious to Andrew doing a samurai roll under the chair lift to avoid being hit by it because I cut him off. Could. not. stop. laughing!

We had a fun day out on the slopes yesterday among God's beautiful creation. There are so many beautiful places but, the Colorado mountains are so majestic! (excuse the iPhone pics).

Dad & Drew

We came in to thaw out and eat some hot Chili mom made.

Mom, Saylor, and I ran down to the city market for some groceries.

How cute is this face all bundled up!?!

Then it was back out for a few more runs before heading to the village for dinner.

My babe loves his beef...

Will post better pics later, they are on my camera.

Breckenridge Day One!

Yesterday we flew in to Breck...

it was so quiet in town with all the snow on the ground and the Christmas lights twinkling. We cozied up by the fire ate 3 large pizzas (which saylor threw up. :( non-organic cheese does NOT agree with her) took showers and all went to bed. Well a few enjoyed the hot tub, it was off to bed for saylor and me! :)

Today we woke up bright and early at 5am. Coffee was brewing, the smell of breakfast cooking and of course we had the fire rollin once again.

Dad, stace, and drew had a ski instructor taking them out all day to make them even better skiiers. Syd went off to ski school...

And well mom, saylor and I are watching Hazel at this moment...

It's only one of our family's favorite shows!!! I feel like such a mom today! Staying behind instead of skiing...what was I thinking...I will be out there tomorrow tho, I can't take it! Saylor will just be seeing me every 3 hours tomorrow! Thanks mom! ;)

My morning greeting...

Here is how I get greeted every morning and after every nap...

This is my view looking down on her crib...she scoots her little head to fit right in that corner of her crib. :)

My favorite things...

I currently have two favorite baby items....

First is saylor's cloth diapers!

My mom tried to convince me from the very beginning, before saylor was born that cloth diapers were the way to go. I wanted to try but, I was a little overwhelmed when she was first born (not with her, just my healing process). So I finally gave it a try about a month ago and I am a cloth diaper believer! I got the bumgenius 4.0 organic all-in-ones. These are GREAT! We bought 12 and eventually want to get 6 more as she gets older but, 12 is the number right now.

They will fit her all the way up to 35lbs. Because of all the genius snaps!

They are very easy to use, even for Andrew, who was completely unsure and freaked out by these things! He now says they are just panties for his baby. After she poo's we have the bumgenius toilet sprayer to spray it off in the toilet. It is then place in the laundry bag, which we turn inside out and throw in with the diapers to get washed.

We have a little one to keep in the diaper bag for when we are out...

Here is what the inside looks like...

Excuse the leetle poo stain...it will bleach out in the sun.

The organic all-in-ones are the only ones where the inside is connected. I love this because I don't have to take anything out or re-stuff.

We got mostly gender neutral colors so we can re-use for next baby...yea I said it...another baby...but it will be a while. :) I had to add in a pink and purple though. They are so daggon cute on her leetle bum!

If you do purchase these, make sure to wash as directed before first use. It will make them much more absorbent.

Another plus is they give NO diaper rashes! I was using organic disposables at first anyway but, these are even more loving to her bummie! :)

Saylor has no complaints and has LOVED them!

My next favorite item is my MOBY wrap....

This was a genius invention! I can even nurse her while she is in it and no one can even tell! Yay for being discreet! :) My sister thanks me for this! Ha!
